I like imagining the meeting where The Creative Assembly sat down and drew up a list of ways to make it more gritty, more grim, more dark, more vomit-splattered. Look out for "spurts last longer"! Recognising that, developers The Creative Assembly have bloodied up the gore DLC, resulting in patch notes like the adorably violent contents of a child's notebook planning their dream game. The gore DLC for Total War: Attila, mind, fell far short of the orgy of violence you'd expect from something named 'Blood & Burning'. Historical strategy series Total War splits its gore off into separate DLC, officially so the games get a lower rating. This mod might be CPU / GPU intensive so if you own a wooden computer you might encounter lag or even fires ! So keep a fire extinguisher next to your computer. Then head for OPTIONS – > MODS and move this mod from the left window (Deactivated) to the right window (Activated) your mod is now good to go! Just press the subscribe button and wait for the download to finish, then you might have to enter the game and then quit it again and start it again, not sure why it acts this way. Wrecks stay around for a much longer time (2 hours instead of a couple of minutes) New textures for all tracers ingame (less visible and laser looking) Small tweaks to muzzle flashes and bullet impact textures (sizes and the like) Shells from static artillery and AT guns are ejected as permanent objects with collision physics. Chance of dismembering soldiers if affected by a blast of enough force Adds blood on the ground when soldiers are hit by bullets or die from them. Remove – shell realism mod.bat – Use this if you do not want shells from artillery and static AT guns to eject permanent shells.
